A Spell For Luck is out in the Fool For You anthology from LT3!

This story ... is about a demon that shouldn't be horny, but is. He meets a grumpy young witch-in-training and the two work together to get what they want. Don't forget that you can read an excerpt right here.

This was a lot of fun to write, and I can't wait to never be able to look directly in the eyes of anyone who reads it. Spell For Luck is short, about 10,000 words, and a lot of that is straight-up boning so. Enjoy!

The Trouble - Release day!

The Trouble became available for people who pre-ordered today! In other news, I will be over here screaming.

In honor of the book finally being released, I put together an 8Tracks playlist of all the music that I listened to when I was working on it.

I'm a big believer in writing to music. Or at least, it's a habit that I just can't break. When I'm working on a project I'll constantly hear songs that remind me of it. My playlists grow into eclectic monstrosities that have less in common musically than they do with whatever is going on in the book.

The playlist for The Trouble is a blend of the two main characters: Danny and Jiyoon, rock and pop.

Some of the songs on this playlist are what I imagine The Trouble — Danny's band — sounding like. Those are Out of the Black by Royal Blood, Trainwreck 1979 by Death From Above 1979, and In One Ear by Cage the Elephant. So if you don't like those, well, I guess you can relate to Jiyoon!

On the flip side, Here by Alessia Cara actually made me laugh out loud when I first heard it, because it's 100% Jiyoon: it's about someone stuck at a party they don't want to be at, with randos hitting on them. The character literally could have written it. The other pop songs on this playlist also stand in for Jiyoon's schmoopy feelings.

If you pick up The Trouble I'll hope you'll give the playlist a listen and enjoy it! It was a lot of fun to put together. And check out The Trouble, available now from LT3! It was also a lot of fun to put together, but it made me cry like 100% more. Hopefully it'll make you laugh instead. :D
